In light of the overwhelming amount of cases of police brutality in the United States against Black Americans this year, a 20 year-old musical artist from Brooklyn has written and recorded a song about basic rights. Moise Morancy released “Know Your Rights” on Tumblr yesterday to educate Black Americans on their basic human rights in order to help protect them against police brutality. “Officer, I know you tight ’cause I know my rights” he sings. Morancy describes himself as a”revolutionary” on his Twitter page. He’s been active on social media voicing his opinion against racism and police brutality.
